WHAT IS THE AVIATOR ACADEMY?
The Aviator Academy is designed to give area elementary and junior/senior high schools
an opportunity to reward students with movie tickets for displaying good behavior.
The Aviator Academy puts students in the pilot’s seat, allowing them to fly to new
heights in their education and development. When students understand that they can
be rewarded for good behavior inside the classroom, a passion for learning develops.
Hence, the purpose of the Aviator Academy.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
On November 15 each year, enrollment opens for the Academy. Eligible schools may
complete the enrollment form and send it back to the Hangar by December 15. By January
1, schools will be notified of their enrollment status into the Academy as well
as given the allotted number of tickets to use.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THE MOVIE TICKETS?
Schools are encouraged to reward students for displaying traits of good behavior.
In addition, we believe in rewarding those faculty and staff members who continue
to dedicate themselves to the success of students.
The Hangar Restaurant & Cinema believes in the continued development and life-long
learning of all students. Schools are asked to use the tickets in connection with
the success of students. Rewarding for good behavior gives students something to
strive for, a reason to achieve excellence. Accordingly, we believe that rewarding
students in the form of movie tickets gives them an opportunity to engage in safe,
fun entertainment appropriate for all ages.
These students are our future, and therefore those school’s students are also our
students. The Aviator Academy is founded on this principle and for that reason,
we believe in giving back to the schools whose dedicated faculty and staff are changing
the lives of students every day.
